Career Services Center For its undergraduates, graduating
seniors, advanced degree candidates and alumni, Tulane University
maintains a Career Services Center located in the Collins C. Diboll
Complex at the Uptown campus in New Orleans. The staff of the Career
Services Center assist students with self-assessment, career exploration,
and in pursuing intern/externships, summer jobs, full-time employment
and graduate study. Liberal arts and sciences students are particularly
encouraged to take full advantage of all services offered.
The Career Services Center
hours are 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. A professional
staff member is available on a walk-in basis Monday through Friday
(check website for current walk-in-hours), or you can schedule an
appointment.
The Center features one-on-one career counseling, a comprehensive
career library, WAVELINK (Alumni Student Career Network), job listings,
local and national internship listings, a credentials service, and
an on-campus interviewing program for securing summer and full-time
employment. Special events include a Graduate/Professional school
Day, various career panels, and participation in several job/career
fairs including the Fall Career Fair, Mardi Gras Invitational, Non-Profit/Human
Services Fair, and Summer Job/Internship Fair.
Each semester, workshops and seminars are offered on topics such
as marketing your liberal arts major, resume and letter writing,
interviewing techniques, gaining practical experience, networking
through informational interviewing, international careers, preparing
for job fairs, and applying to graduate/professional schools.
