Media Arts

The Media Arts program at Tulane SCS offers majors and minors in Media Arts, Journalism, Public Relations, Digital Design and Website Development. There are also minors in Advertising and Graphic Design, and Post-baccalaureate certificates in most areas.

The program is open to all students in the School of Continuing Studies. The program concentrates on oral and written applied communications skills, acquaintance with computer technologies, and aspects of business relevant to communicators. Students can tailor course selection to their areas of interest. Electives may be chosen from an array of disciplines, including English, Speech, Communication, Marketing, Information Technology, Website Development, and Media Arts.

The program prepares students for careers in areas such as journalism, creative writing, graphic design, digital design, computer art, public relations, the Internet, advertising, marketing, film, radio, and television.
