Admission & Tuition:
CLEP Credit

Students enrolled in the School of Continuing Studies may receive up to 15 credits by successfully testing out of courses through The College Level Examination Program (CLEP).

Students interested in taking one or all of these examinations must contact their academic adviser for information regarding times, dates, and specific tests to be taken.

To receive credit, students must place in the 75th percentile or higher for the following classes:

CHEM 107 General Chemistry I
MATH 121 Calculus I
PSYC 100 Intro to Psychology
SOCI 201 Foundations of Sociology

For CLEP credit in the following courses, students must earn an equivalent of a "B" grade:

BSAC 112 Elementary Accounting
BSBL 340 Business Law
CPST 120 Intro to Information Systems
CSHM 201 Humanities
CSNA 201 Natural Sciences
BSMT 231 Management Principles
BSMK 320 Intro to Marketing Principles

CLEP credits may be transferred from other accredited institutions if they fulfill stated School of Continuing Studies requirements.

NOTE: Credits awarded through CLEP or other testing may not be transferable to other Tulane divisions.

Delgado Community College provides a convenient designated testing center for the College Level Examination Program for students attending the School of Continuing Studies's Louisiana campuses. For Mississippi SCS students, there is a testing center at William Carey College in Hattiesburg.
